A corpse lays on one of the tombs, with some people gathering around her. From the Windhelm main entrance, head north, and then west down some stairs and towards a small graveyard in the street. If you have not been to Windhelm a lot, just go there, then fast travel to some other hold (Such as Whiterun), go back to Windhelm, and repeat this process a few times before proceeding. I'm thinking I might just kill him & then do the time.To start the quest "Blood on the Ice", you have to had visited and left Windhelm four times. I'd suggest that if you're being contracted for something its as a result of some prior actions. So it seems that your actions do directly & permanently alter the world events. He's also stopped me in the street and advised that I'll "pay for what I've done" Now one of the other Battle-Borne guys keeps sending thugs after me with the note saying "make D'Axro pay for killing my beloved. The guards arrived and we fought, until I eventually sheathed my weapon & went to Jail. she awoke and went spastic to which Lydia promptly beheaded her as I ran screaming out the door with my 3 Gold pieces. I figured it was as good a time as any to get my pickpocket skill up so I crouched down, aimed & yoinked out her money (.erm?). Lydia followed & we crept around looking for something or other, then we snuck into one of the bedrooms with a woman sleeping in it (.this isn't going where you're thinking!) I crept into the battle-borne house in Whiterun one night. The items still said "Steal" so that is the clue, I knew that DUH. I figured it would be safe to take his stuff, and Soul Gems are so valuable and I need to stock up. He just died after we entered the vortex thing and he tried to do something with the book I thinkĪnd he turned into a puddle of stuff. Here is the contract I got, I just took some of his stuff (soul gems) and So back to an older save and start all over. I had to fight them buried neck deep in dragon bones, and I accidentally slice Lydia. Back the fight, after a few deaths, I finally get the Dragon and 3 thugs show up with a note from Septimus to teach Prisoner (that's my name) a lesson. A frost dragon attacks and no stamina and died a few times, left Lydia behind to get my potions and the cure all. I get to tower at my castle and left my potions in the cabinet, and also had a degraded stamina due to a bug. The first time I steal and from a dead person who turned into a pile of salt or something else.
